Project Description
The project was picking a type of engine in the simulator and trying to used 10 simulations to make the most fuel efficient engine with constants.
Procedure
For the project we were given the choice between four different engines turbojet, ramjet, turbofan, and afterburner. The We had to create certain constraints and change one variable throughout the ten simulations.I ended up choosing the turbofan because it looked the most interesting because of the engine core having a fan in the front and a turbine in the back.
Solution
I feel like I created good thrust to fuel flow ratio and a high gross thrust for most of the turbofans.
Conclusion
I learned about just how many variables could change the efficiency of the engines. Also the height and the temperature are very important variables to consider so it doesn't overheat or freeze over.
